TROOPS LEFT WITH BAD MEMORIES OF VIETNAM |

The Australian Communist paper Tribune reports [February 15] that the battalion recently returned from Vietnam (about 1,000 men) is consuming 13,000 antidepressant amitryptiline tablets a month, on issue from No. 2 Camp Hospital, Ingleburn NSW. The usual dose is six tablets per man per day, which would indicate that at least seventy soldiers are seriously depressed by their experiences.
