In a Vietnam war propaganda story aimed at whipping up support on the home front, Lt. Col. Iuis J. North, a commander of U.S. troops moving into the Mekong Delta, was quoted November 25 in the New York Times as saying, "Make them understand that this is gust like the Indian wars, except that the helicopter has replaced the horse."
