FREEDOM FIGHTERS REPORT PROGRESS IN MOZAMBIQUE

The guerrilla fighters struggling against Portuguese imperialism in-Mozambique © report that they have made considerable ‘gains in the past two years.

When the Struggle began, "FRELIMO's main- preoecupation- was t6 train its: man thousands of militants in clandestine political work" and to establish military: whits in as many parts of Mozambique as possible. Today the organization "must also worry about the day-to-day affairs of the civilian population, especially in liberated areas of the country, where hundreds of thousands of the African people look to the organisation for all services normally provided by a government."
