RECOGNIZES ANGOLAN EXILE GOVERNMENT

. Angolan freedom fighters won a significant diplomatic victory February 9 when Choukri Saleh Zaki, the Iraqi. ambassador.in Cairo, announced that his government had decided to recognize the Angolan Revolutionary Government in Exile [GRAE].

- The recognition was transmitted 66 Florentino Duarte, chargé d'affaires of the GRAE in Cairo.

Iraq is ‘the first non-African government to recognize the GRAE, It is expected that this step will help improve possibilities for | the GRAE to obtain badly needed material aid for the guerritia forces in Angola,
