The peoples of Mozambique and Guines-Bissau deait o serious blow to imperialist domination in Africa by overthrowing Portuguese coloniolism. The struggle of the Angolan masses has opened o breuch in the reactionary bastion of sauthern Africo, under the hegemony of the racist regime in Pretoria. The ravolutionary rise of the working class in the metropolis provented the Portuguese bourgobiste from responding effectively and healing this broach through a successful nedcolonialist operation. Given this situation, and given the prospect of the dynomie of the mobilization of the Angolar masses deve -oping toward objectives that ore not simply anti-imperialist but anticapitallat as well - especially in Luanda, where the worken component has significant weight -all the partisans of colonialism, both old and new, and alf the defendes of Imperialist Interesh, both Natth American and European, Have blocked togetter to crush Ine Angolon revolution and Impose the establishment of la reactionary regime through a civil war. The leaderships of the FLNA and UNITA, which defend tribal and regionalist positions and the interests of bourgeois layers in formation, are laking part in this operation. They have established a common front with the imperialists, 32 the racists, and the neocolonial regimes in Zaire and Zambio, a sort of holy alliance, under the auspices of the Organization of African Unity, against tha effecfive independence of Angola and the struggla of the Angolan tolling masses, The foct that China is aiding this mactionary front in practice through its long standing aid to the FNLA and it present artitude is additional proof of the nefarious consequences of a policy that regards the USSR a the main anemy and aim of reaching a compromite with Americon imperialim The warken and revolutionary movement of the entire world denounce the counterrevolutionary operation that hes beun launched in Africa, In the prosent civil war these movemenh stand in the camp ofithe Dembcratic Republic of Angola proclaimed by the MPLAion November 11. The worker states and afl worken organizations must make sure that the Angolan fighters receive political solidarity and material support. A defeat for the forces of the Democratic Republic would be a serious defeat for the revalution in Africo, it would represent a strengthening of imperialism and neocolonialism and would be accompanied by a bloody recont'd. on pg. 31.
